Experience Design - Stand and Signage Design
The Costa Rican Construction Chamber asked Elástica to create the new design for their annual exposition (2025). I developed the concept and design for this event. The main objective was to create a new experience for the people who attended the exposition, and the brands participating on the event. The chamber had trouble with the position of the expo, with this new strategy the event could engage more with the people and the professional of construction in Costa Rica.
2023 -2024
The design followed three main approaches:

1- Brand Engagement  (Orange): It consisted in stands to inform about the event and the organizer (history and importance in Costa Rica)
2- Professional Connection (Green): Created connections between professional, academy and brands interested in developing knowledge within the construction and design guild.
3- Leisure / Beyond the Expo.(Gray): Activities related to relaxation, outside the construction topics, it meant to create an informal space to connect with other people.

Sensitive Map
- Which feelings we want to transmit to the visitor? -
The project provided three different ways to interact with the space and the activities proposed. The orange ones are more active, direct and provide information about the event. The green activities represent points of interactions and knowledge interchange, more passive that the orange ones. The blue activities proposed relaxation and guided the visitor to focus on well being, rest and pleasure.
The signage was a key object in which we saw an opportunity to provide a new image for the event, then improve the visitors experience. We looked for something more playful yet elegant, that combine natura materials such as recicle wood and acrylics layers.
Standing and floating signage to inform the visitors about important activities across the venue.
Within the signage strategy, it was necessary to redesign the generic stands provided by the organization to small brands who participated on the event.
The design consisted in a modular structure, easy to replicate and build. It contained a functional wall for information, lighting and a banner with information  required to identify the brand in topics and special recognition provided by the Chamber.
