Urban Design - Landscape
The proposal explores the development of a main flow along Avenida 3 in San Pedro de Montes de Oca, which is generated from the observation of space use as a connector between two vertical flows that include activities such as education, commerce, and housing. It's called a Pasarela because the vegetation is used in a way that explicitly defines this flow, adorns it, and enhances it visually and in terms of comfort. Additionally, this walkway includes furniture and resting areas along its path, taking advantage of the comfort provided by the vegetation and creating a system of indirect social interactions along it. At the center of this walkway is the climax of the event: a space designated for interaction activities, with a large area and suitable furniture for observing the activities that take place there. Formally, the project is inspired by the horizontality of the train line and the morphological variation of the surrounding volumes.
